Exchange 2007 - Audit Deletion of Items within Mailbox
Is is possible to audit deletion of individual items from within a mailbox? We have a shared mailbox that items just "disappear" and don't know why? TIA

Hi Mailbox Access Auditing does not audit message deletions, only successful message access. If you do set auditing on, you can at least see who accessed the message last when it's reported deleted and then check that user's deleted items and dumpster. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee331009(EXCHG.80).aspx Sukh

Hi Exchange doesn’t offer this kind of function. 1. You can manage them by 3 rd software. 2. Creating read-only mailbox. You can read this similar thread. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
