Exchange 2007: Error 5018 (0000139a) after installing SP3
Hi,
I've got the following problem with an Exchange 2007 Cluster: After upgrading the passive node to SP3 it is impossible to make it an active node. When I try to get the database online after switching the node I get the error code 5018 (0000139a).
The currently active node is still at SP1. The Hub-Transport/Client-Access-Server is also on SP3.
I tried the following steps without any success:
- Removing the passive node from the cluster and adding it again
- Recofigure database replication
- Reinstalling Exchange 2007 SP3 on the passive node
Do you have any solution for this problem?
Thank you in advance

Hello
can you check the event logs after upgrading the service pack 3 and also disable Anti virus services or any thrid party service.
The procedure for installing sp2 is same like sp3 from CMD Prompt
Setup.com /Mode:Upgrade
http://www.howexchangeworks.com/2009/08/upgrading-exchange-2007-ccr-to-sp2.html
Follow the step by step method and Check the setup log for Exchange 2007 Sp3 and post it on forum.
Thanks

To update Exchange 2007 server to SP3, please refer to the following article:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607233(EXCHG.80).aspx
If the issue persists, please capture the detail error message when trying to make the passive node to active node and paste it to Paint, and then upload it to Skydrive
(www.skydrive.live.com) for research. Please also upload the detail Event Log for research.
