Exchange 2007/SBS 2008 W3PW.exe/MSExchangeSyncAppPool using high memory/CPU
Hi Everyone, I've noticed our SBS machine has been running quite slow. w3wp.exe is currently using 3.5GB and 40% CPU. Store.exe is using 860MB and 25% CPU. We only have about 4 users and have enough disk space. the process behind w3wp.exe is the MSExchanceSyncAppPool. Recycling does nothing. If I stop it for a few minutes, it all dies down, but when I start it, the problem eventually comes back after a number of hours. I read a post somewhere that iDevices running iOS4.0 can cause this. Users have updated with iOS devices. Does anyone else know where to start on it? Thanks If I stop the app pool and then start it again, w3wp (MSExchangeSyncAppPool starts at around 281MB and 0% CPU. Thanks

Hi 1. AV software on your SBS server causes this problem. You can turn off all AV software and test it again. 2. Activesync user causes this problem. It is hard to find. You can disable activesync user one by one and find user. Terence Yu TechNet Community Support
