Are you getting any error when you open the EMC? Or does the MMC just never start? Does the MMC open after you restart the server? Have you applied all Microsoft Updates (not just Windows Updates) and installed E2K7 SP2?Jim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com

Could you please make sure that The Filelevel AV is installed properly and it is not doing any excessive scanning of Servers as well as exchange. also check for Page file settings Run the EXBPA and see if Exchange is in Good health EXBPAVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

What role(s) are on the server? How many mailboxes? 6GB of ram seems real light.I agree with Vinod - make sure A/V is not scanning file level, or properly configure it, and run the BPAKarl

I dought paging file size which is set on your exchange server..if we calculate page size for 1024 block its comes as shown below,Paging File size must be 1.5 times of the physical RAM. This way it comes to 16GB to 24GB. You can put initial size as 16384 and last size as 24567.. 1024 2048 3072 4096 5120 6144 7168 8192 9216 10240 11264 12288 13312 14336 15360 16384 17408 18432 19456 20480 21504 22528 23552 24576 25600 26624 27648 28672 To set the paging file go to My Computer Properties-Advanced-Performance (Settings)-Advanced-Virtual Memory (Change) and set the Paging size as per the standards..Once done restart the server for a better performance..Hope this resolves your issue.
