Exchange 2007, Outlook Connectivity
I have a strange problem, when i create a user on exchange 2007, and try to configure outlook it doesnt accept the username and password and keep popping up with username and password sceen, but if i assign that user domain admin or administrators right it works with no issues. Has anyone encountered something like this before?

Hello,This can be because of number of reasons. Usually I do the follwoing things if I come across anyone seeking help on such issue.1. See if the global catalog servers are pingable from the client computer. 2. See if the nslookup tool resolves correct names for your exchange and GCs corrrectly.3. Use OWA to see if that works for the user with his current user name password.4. Configure the user profile on anther computer.5. Take the LDAP dump of user and see if there is anything missing on the permissions part. YOu can use ldp.exe to check this.Milind Naphade | MCTS:M | http://www.msexchangegeek.com

Hi, We need to go through the following steps to narrow down the issue. 1. Please try to check if we can logon the client with the user credential. 2. Please try to check if we can access mailbox from OWA. 3. Please try to check if we can configure the profile on other machine 4. Please check if the account is the member of the local admin group. 5. Please run get-mailboxpermission identity username and then post the output here. 6. Please run get-adpermission identity user and then post the output here. Regards, Xiu
