Exchange 2007,POP 3
Hi, Can someone please help me?I have a pop3 connector setup on our exchange(2007) which use to work like a dream. Now all of a sudden my pop 3 clients are unable to recieve their emails on port 110.However,if I check the ssl box on the client's account settings,it works.I have made sure that Integrated Windows authentication and secure logon is uncheked on the Authentication tab under POP 3 propreties on the exchange. Some of my clients need to use non-ssl(110).How is this possible

Hello, Pop3 is not working => Checked on the Exchange server 2007 Exchange management console --> Server Configuration --> Client Access --> POP3 properties and found à Plain text logon (Basic authentication) => On Default receive connector --- Under Authentication --> unchecked the Offer Basic authentication only after starting TLS => Checked the user POP3 profile setting and checked the box -- My server required authentication & Leave a copy on the sever => After that we restarted the Transport & POP3 service on the server It will fix the issue EXCHANGE2010, MCSE, MCTS, MCSA MESSAGING, CCNA & GNIIT

Hi Thanks for your reply. I made the changes you suggested and unfortunately it did not work. This is really becoming a head scratcher as I have spoken to numerous exchange engineers and they too dont know of a solution. Thanks

Hello M.H Smith, If you followed Steps provided by me (PKT_), it should work. Are you trying to configure the POP3 profile for Admin accoount, if yes then it will not work. Please let us know. EXCHANGE2010, MCSE, MCTS, MCSA MESSAGING, CCNA & GNIIT
