Exchange 2003 to 2007 transition.
Hi all,Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. We currently have Exchange 2003 installed on Windows Server 2003. I've started the transition of moving to exchange 2007 (on a server 2003 box)followingthe guidelines here http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Transitioning-Exchange-2000-2003-Exchange-Server-2007-Part1.html.All good so far installation went with out a hitch.I had some issues with my mailboxes alias'if they had spaces in which I was fine renaming.I'm at the point where all mailboxes are on the 2003 box still andI want tomove them to the 2007 box. I've tested moving one and it fails, I've also tried creating a mailbox on the 2007 boxand a similar error occured. The mailbox was however created. I get a mixture of the following errors when trying most tasks:-The address list service on the server 'SERVER.DOMAIN' is not running. The Exchange server address list service failed to respond. This could be because of an address list or email address policy configuration error. The Exchange server address list service failed to respond. This could be because of an address list or email address policy configuration error.I have checked that the address list service is running and it is, have restarted it also, not sure what I need to change?

Cool Sorted it.Found http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/935636/en-usParticular fix was cause 3 Click Start, click Run, type adsiedit.msc, and then press ENTER. In the CN=Configuration container, locate the following container: CN=Services,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=ORGANIZATION,CN=Recipient Policies Note Replace ORGANIZATION with the name of the Exchange 2003 organization or with the name of the Exchange 2000 organization. Right-click the problem recipient policy in the details pane, and then click Properties. In the Attribute list, click purportedSearch, and then click Edit. In the Value box, remove the unnecessary characters, and then click OK two times. I had a space after (mailnickname=*). Is that it!

Cool thanks for your assistance .................oh one more thing? I've just moved a mailbox from the Exchange 03 server to the 07 server, problem is any emails from the mailboxes on the 03 server do not get delivered to the moved mailbox. Any Ideas? Or do I have to move all mailboxes in one hit.
