Exchange 2003 store architecture
I currently have 1 storage group with 1 mailbox store that holds all our mailboxes. I want to set up multiple stores within the same storage group and distribute the mailboxes amongst the different stores for faster and more manageable backups and restores. The question I have is...should I keep all the .edb and .stm files for the different stores in the same folder or should I create seperate folders for each store to hold these files?

The folders where you keep your EDB and STM files are not really that important, for your ease I would configure them in different folders But the most important thing to remember is that it is better to create 4 Storage groups and fill every storage group with one database. If you have more databases then you can add these to the storage groups and devide them over the storage groups Deli
