Exchange 2003 reinstall
My server was unplugged and somehow the Exchange 2003 files are corrupt. I uninstalled - now I am trying to reinstall 2003. However, I can not get past the Forrest Prep. It continues to give me an error that I must belong to Enterprise, Schema, local, and domain admins. I am logged in with an admin account and I also added the account to each group to be sure. Any ideas how I can get the correct permissions?

Hi, Install the exchange system manager only and make sure that you are part of the exchange full administrators group. If this does not help then use the /removeorg switch to completely remove the exchange org from active directory (assuming that you only have the defect exchange server in the org). A little late now but why do you think a reinstall will get a database that is in a dirty shutdown state running again?? You should have performed a restore of the database or a repair and you would have had the server running again. Leif
