Exchange 2003 message conversion during intra-site transport?!
Hi, I have a strange issue that has got me stumped... We originally had a single Exchange 2003 SP2 server which all users connected to, primarily Outlook 2007... This server is on its way out, so as a quick fix we built another Exchange 2003 SP2 server, and have started to move mailboxes to this server. One of our users who we migrated has reported an issue with meeting requests sent from a Lotus Notes/Domino external user... When they were on the old server, these meeting requests would come through with the usual accept, tentative buttons etc, and show as an meeting icon in Outlook (ipm.meeting). It also has an .ics attachment (Which I belive is a Lotus thing)... Since the user has been moved to the new server, they now simply receive an email (ipm.post) with an ics attachment. This attachment must be opened, and this then contains the accept tentative etc... I have moved a user back to the old server, and got a meeting request from the external Lotus Notes/Domino user sent to both a old server user, and a new server user, with the same client (Outlook 2007) which results in this issue occurring so there is nothing different from the Lotus end. As the old server currently has the only internet connector/connectivity, I can only assume that the old Exchange server is receiving the email, and then it is being modified prior to being delivered to the new server user's mailbox? Can anyone help with this issue?
