Setup logs still exist? Should be at the root of the installation drive. Exchange Server Setup Progress.log

You could also look via adsiedit at the Exchange objects ( admin /routing groups etc..) in the config container and under properties, check the create date.

I dont think you'll find that anywhere except in a change log entry . Exchange itself doesnt record that information unless you still have the email or message tracking logs somehow.

Hi, As AndyD was mentioned, you can use following two methods to find the Exchange created date. 1. Open the Exchange Server Setup Progress.log file in drive C. 2. Open ADSI Edit tool and navigate to the location: Configuration->”CN=Configuration”->”CN=Services”->”CN=Microsoft Exchange”->”CN=Active Directory Connections”. Please right click ”CN=Active Directory Connections” and click Properties, and then you can find the created time beside the “CreateTimeStamp” attribute. After locating the created time, you can launch ESM and open Message Tracking Center or use Log Parser to find the first email. Note: You may need type server name, sender or Recipients to find the detail message. Also, the Message Tracking log is disabled by default. You should manually enable it after installing Exchange 2003. Hence, the email in Tracking Center may be not the first email after installing Exchange 2003.
