Exchange 2003 in an ADDS 2008 domain
I'm posting this to ask a general question concerning Exchange 2003 SP 2 in a Windows 2008 domain at 2008 functional level. First, is this possible? Second, if so, what issue can I anticipate? Is it possible to add ADC to 2008 since you can't use it on Vista?Any and all insight would be appreciated. At this point I'm just in a fact finding/planning mode. Thanks!

You can run Exchange 2003 SP2 on a Windows Server 2003 server in a Windows Server 2008 domain. Youshould nothave any RoDCs in the local AD site. There is no mention that 2008 forest/domain functional level is not supported.http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/08/16/446709.aspx The following outlines the supported configurations for Exchange 2007 and earlier versions with the RTM version of Windows Server 2008. Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Exchange 2007, and Exchange 2007 SP1 are supported in environments that either partly or entirely use writeable Windows Server 2008 directory servers. http://exchangeexchange.com
