I have tried removing the Microsoft Exchange container and retrying, with the same result. This forest has not had Exchange in it before. It is a lab domain, Windows 2003 native. Any pointers on this error? Thanks

What is your organization name? If it contains invalid characters it will fail.

There is no organization name, it is the first Exchange to ever be run in this forest. I am just trying to do the forestprep step.

Did some research on the error code and came up with This error arises in connection with the production of objects or the access to their attributes. The cause is the use of an invalid LDAP path, e.g. if it a Organizational unit with the designation cn=. to put on want. ok i have fixed this in my environment. I have some schema issues where I didnt have the correct possible superiors setup for the object class "addressbookContainer". I imported the schema using ldife as its a test environment. So issue is solved for me :) This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
