Exchange 2003 envelope Journaling
I currently run exchange 2003 with envelope journaling turned on. It has been working well for at least a year. While making the journaling work I installed the exejcfg.exe tool on a domain controler as suggested. I need to remove that domain controller from the network. My question is what happens to envelope journaling if I remove the domain contoller that I enabled envelope journaling on. Do I have to do anything to keep envelope journaling working? Or do I need to move the exejcfg.exe tool to another server that has access to Active directory and re-enable it? Thanks for your help.

The tool simply sets a flag in AD. You will only need to use it again if you plan to make a change to envelope journaling. Keep a copy of the exe somewhere in case you need it again. Go ahead and remove your DC.Tony www.activedir.org blog:www.open-a-socket.com
