Exchange 2003 email address in domain, but want it forwarded outside domain
Our exchange server is set up to receive our domain's email from our external mail server. However, our sales manager is rarely in the office and we've had his domain email forwarded to his home email address for quite some time. Since installing the exchange server, we can't send him email through the domain email address we've always used because it says he doesn't exist (which he doesn't on our exchange server). He does, however, have an email account with our external mail server. I've tried creating an emailbox for him on exchange, but then the mail never forwards to his home mail address, it just sits in his exchange mailbox waiting for him. I hope this makes sense.
|| internal exchange mailbox || ==> pinnacle.com==>|| external mail server ||==> || his home .aol email account ||
My question is, how can we still send him email to our domain but have it forward to his home email account?

Hi,
First create an e-mail contact with his home e-mail address as the e-mail address.
Then go to the tab Exchange general:
- click on delivery options
- click forward to and select the created mail contact
