Exchange 2003 change language Quota messages
Recently we have applied limits on all mailboxes. All message quota notifications to the users are in Dutch: they should be in English for all users (or at least in the Outlook language they are using). The Local ID of the mailboxes is 1033 or 1036 (EN/FR), the OS is Windows 2003 SP2 English, Exchange 2003 SP2 English. The 'Local' in Exchange System Manager is Dutch: is this the culprit ? Must English be added ? I've found one link on the internet that somewhat refers to the problem we have, but we are not sure this is the solution: Cscript.exe c:\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs set smtpsvc /smtpdsnlanguageid 1033 We get an error when we execute the above command. Who has had a similar problem and how was it resolved ? Thanks for any answer Alex

Hi Alex, Yes, you should add English to the locales list. Then English language outlook clients that connect to the server see information sorted and formatted in English. This does not work. Changed the local (and run the Cscript.exe c:\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs set smtpsvc /smtpdsnlanguageid 1033), rebooted the server: still the messages appear in Dutch. We do not use the Quota Message Service, it's the standard built-in notification system of Exchange 2003 SP2. Any other ideas ? Regards, Alex
