i tried to do this, and i get the following message on the exchange 2003 server. There is no RPC-HTTP Front-end in your exchange organization. There must be at least one RPC-HTTP front-end server in the organization before the RPC-HTTP back-end server can be accessed. any idea on how to resolve this. thanks again for your help.

Is it the only exchange server you have in the ORG? If yes than you will have to introduce one more server and promote it as Fron End server.Gulab Prasad, MCITP: Exchange Server 2010 | MCITP: Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Lync Server 2010 | MCITP: Windows Server 2008 My Blog | Z-Hire Employee Provisioning App

So, the issue is with OWA on 2007? what is the url you are using to access the owa? Is it https://mail.domain.com/exchange or https://mail.domain.com/owaGulab Prasad, MCITP: Exchange Server 2010 | MCITP: Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Lync Server 2010 | MCITP: Windows Server 2008 My Blog | Z-Hire Employee Provisioning App

i try and go to mail.domain.com which i should autoforward to the new exchange server right? when i goto https://mail.domain.com/owa - i get the following - there is a problem with the website's security certificate - i looked at the certificate and it's showing the 2003 server's name not the 2007 servers name. i click continue to this website and and it displays the page cannot be found. when i goto https://mail.domain.com/exchange i get the exchange login box - but when i put in my credentials - i get Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

i try and go to mail.domain.com which i should autoforward to the new exchange server right? YES, if you have setup Redicrection in IIS (Exchange 2007) when i goto https://mail.domain.com/owa - i get the following - there is a problem with the website's security certificate - i looked at the certificate and it's showing the 2003 server's name not the 2007 servers name. i click continue to this website and and it displays the page cannot be found. Because you don't have Cert installed on exchange 2007 and currently your server is usinging Self signed Cert. To fix it, buy new Cert and install it on the server when i goto https://mail.domain.com/exchange i get the exchange login box - but when i put in my credentials - i get Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. It won't work on if you are doing it on 2003 as by default SSL is not enabled on 2003. I don't see any BIG issue here...You just need to buy the Cert and Install it on the server (As I said before). Once it's done you will be good to GO... http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb851505(EXCHG.80).aspx http://www.globalsign.com/support/install/ex_2007.php http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310769(EXCHG.80).aspx Gulab Prasad, MCITP: Exchange Server 2010 | MCITP: Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Lync Server 2010 | MCITP: Windows Server 2008 My Blog | Z-Hire Employee Provisioning App

cert was already purchased and installed on e2k7 servers. been installed for weeks. What do you get if you run this? Get-ExchangeCertificate | ft hasprivatekey, status, services, notafter, notbefore Did you tried other browser..post your External URL if you don't mind :) do i need to install the cert on the e2k3 server also? No.. how do you setup IIS redirection In IIS, go to default Web Site and OWA virtual directory...HTTP redirection...you will see the option there (As if now you don't have to worry about Redirection) Gulab Prasad, MCITP: Exchange Server 2010 | MCITP: Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Lync Server 2010 | MCITP: Windows Server 2008 My Blog | Z-Hire Employee Provisioning App
