Exchange 2003 and changing email address
Hello, I'm very new. I have a problem and can't figure it out nor find anything on this topic. If someone can direct me to online articles i would appreciate it. I currently have a domain lets say for example google.com and just changed my domain to gofast.com I'm trying to use my current exchange email serverto receive emails from my new domain gofast.com. What can I do or what should I do. I was thinking of starting over and reinstall exchange server? Any ideas or help?

Hello, Does old domain smtp show as a primary (capital letter like "SMTP") when you create new user? Otherwise old domain smtp address should showas a secondary (email address should showsmall letter like smtp ) and new domain smtp address as a primary (capital letters like SMTP) after doing changes as per KB article. If you remove the old email address then users will lose email if somebody sends mail to old email address so I would suggest you to keep for sometime as suggested in the same article also.

Hey thank you for your time and explaination. I don't mean to confuse you and this issue. The old email address and this server is a practice server. So its not important. As to your question about smtp the only domain is SMTP in caps. I didn't see smtp in lower caps. To let you know i just removed my domain controller and i'm creating a new domain controller with the correct domain i need.
