Exchange 2003 and block outgoing mail for specific email
Hi, Can someone tell me if it is possible to block 1 email adres from sending external mail. We had a problem that groupshield blocked 10000 mails but when i try to release the mails to the mailboxes it is processed to all e-mail adresses in the to field. but i don't want the mails to be resend to external recipients. I know i can use a mail proxy but i'd like to resolve this in exchange 2003 Sp2 The e-mail i'm trying to block is groupshield@eurosys.nl Any help would be great King regards Andre Lucas

If you want to prevent any mailbox in your Exchange org from sending to an external address, simply add that SMTP address to an existing mail-enabled Exchange object. It could be a DL, mailbox, mail-enabled public folder, mail-enabled contact, etc... Exchange will "find" that address in the directory and any messages destined to it, will go there instead. Groupshield however may not honor that.

I agree with Andy, you could create a new user, add groupshield@eurosys.nlto the user's smtp address, so Exchange will deliver the mail to the user's mailbox rather than send it to external recipient.
