Exchange 2003 and WEBDAV
Hello, We run Exchange 2003 in a backend frontend topology in a Windows 2003 domain. One of our application require access to calendar folder on backend through WebDav. I installed WebDav component and configured a virtual directory for calendar on IIS as per the instructions from this URL: http://www.petri.co.il/prepare-iis-sharing-calendars-using-internet-publishing.htm. This document instruct to create a folder in local disk, but that folder is empty. So how will the URL to access calendar (http://<backend Exchange Server>/calendar/username@domain) know the location of file. When I try to open this URL it says file location is empty. Please advice. Thanks in advanceTom

You didn't say if you also followed the procedure in the second part of the article, which is here (which is where I think the folder actually gets populated): http://www.petri.co.il/share-calendars-local-users-internet-publishing.htm But I'm not sure that this is what you should be doing anyway. Your application probably wants to access the calendar using Exchange's built-in WebDAV functions, which is by far the most usual way of doing it. For this, you do not need to install any extra WebDAV component (since Exchange has it built-in), and you don't need to manually publish the calendar, since it is available anyway if your application is configured to use the correct URL pointing into the Exchange mailbox store. The URL is http://<back-end-server>/exchange/user@domain/calendar .Outlook Web Access For PDA , OWA For WAP www.owa-pda.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m
