Exchange 2003 and 2007 - no email address in from field
Hi, I have an issue with not receiving this automated email when we fill this form out. It looks like it is happening with Exchange 2007. It works fine with Exchange 2003. I tested filling out the form with exchange 2003 and it works fine. The form sends the email via outlook to an valid email address and it replies back automatically letting you know if the form as properly filled out or not. The auto reply is an non-valid email address (ABC SERVER). The from: email address shown in Exchange 2003 was 'ABC SERVER'. There was no email address in the 'From:' field. It looks like Exchange 2003 doesn't care if there's an email address in the from field and it looks like Exchange 2007 discards the email if there's no valid email address in the 'from' field. How do I get the email to come in from Exchange 2007? We don't have control of the form. The form email server is someone's email server. We don't have control of it. I get the auto reply fro hotmail and gmail though. Just not in Exchange 2007. This is what the message looks like when using Exchange 2003. I don't get this message when using Exchange 2007. -----Original Message----- From: ABC SERVER [mailto:ABC SERVER] Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2012 2:16 PM To: user1@test.com Subject: RE: attach_test.xml There was a problem receiving your reallocation request. Thanks

Hello, What is the "ABC SERVER", is your Exchange 2003 Server or other email server? Could you explain how did you do in detail, that I can check it for you? Thanks, Evan Evan Liu TechNet Community Support
