Exchange 2003 SP2, EXCDO Error 8199
Having a problem with 1 user mailbox getting the following error:Calendaring agent failed in message save notification with error 0x8007000e on mailbox@domain.com: /Calendar/Name######.emlfollowed with error:Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x8007000e while saving appointment. It appears that this is only happing on 5 distinct events, however the ### part of the message is different in consecutive log entries. For example, event (a) is /Calendar/Vacation1007332.eml and event (b) is /Calendar/Vacation/1007279.eml. I assume this is because it is a repeating event.I found KB 892524 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;892524) but it says that it doesn't apply to Exchange 2003 SP2, which is our installed version (6.5.7338.1). I also found KB 310440 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310440) but the registry entry was already made. This is causing thousands of events in the application log. 70,038 in the last 14 days to be exact.Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I found and followed the instructions at http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.exchange.admin/browse_thread/thread/5ca0f642da99318d/ed996fb6864fa450?hl=en&lnk=st&q=calendaring+agent+failed+in+message+save+notification+with+error+0x8007000e&rnum=5 to get rid of the errors. <<QUOTE>> - Locate the Mdbvu32.exe utility in your Exchange CD. - Double-click Mdbvu32.exe. - In the MAPILogonEX(MAPI_LOGON_UI) dialog box, click OK. - Click the appropriate profile in the Profile Name box, and then click OK. - On the MDB menu, click OpenMessageStore. - Click the appropriate mailbox, and then click Open. - On the MDB menu, click Open Root Folder. - In the Child Folders box, double-click Reminders. - In the MAP_FOLDER - Reminders dialog box that appears, view the messages that are listed in the Messages in Folder box. All reminders and recurring appointments are stored here. NOTE: Reminders and recurring appointments are stored in the same hidden folder in a mailbox. When you remove a reminder, make sure that it is a reminder and not a recurring appointment that you are removing. To distinguish between a reminder and a recurring appointment, follow these steps: Double-click a message in the Messages in Folder box. a. In the Message Properties box of the MAPI_MESSAGE - Message dialog box that appears, locate 0X81BF. b. If 0X81BF is not displayed in the list or if a value is not specified for it, the message is a reminder. c. If a value is specified for the 0X81BF property, then the message is a recurring appointment. d. The following is an example of a recurring appointment: 0X81BF PT_STRING8 every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Click Close to return to the MAP_FOLDER - Reminders dialog box. - In the Messages in Folder box, click the reminder that you want to remove. To select more than one reminder, hold down the CTRL key and click the reminders that you want to remove. - In the Operations available(Select operation, then push Call Function Button) box, click IpFld->DeleteMessages() (ON SELECTED MSGS), and then click Call Function. - Click OK in the MAPI_FOLDER - Reminders->DeleteMessages() dialog box that appears. - Repeat the above steps to remove the reminders that you want. - Click Close, click Close again, and then click Exit on the Session menu to quit Mdbvu32.exe. <<QUOTE>> I deleted the separate instances of the reminders. There was hundreds for each of the messages.

Hi, I am getting this error also. I am trying to use the solution listed above, however I cannot see 'Reminders' in the Child Folders box. Not sure what I can do. Any ideas?
