Exchange 2003 Received = None
Firstly "Hi". We have been having a strange problem over the last few weeks and I'm conpletely stumped. •Exchange 2003 (latest SP) •Outlook 2003 and Outlook Web Access •10 Mail Enabled Public Foiders •Running happy for the last 3- 4 years. Then for no aparant reason both internal and external emails to these folders randomly started turning up as blank lines in Outlook with only None under the received column. They do however show in OWA without any problems. I did the normal disconnect and Eseutil the public folders without any success in solving the intial problem. I then created a sub-folder in the problem mail enabled public folder using OWA and instantly in Outlook 2003 all the messages appeared as normal. I did the same to the other mail enabled public folders and the same thing happened and I thought the matter was closed. The same thing has happened 5 days later and the same solution seems to fix the problem but it keeps happening. The only change recently is a few users have been moved to Outlook 2010 but not the mail users of these folders. Can anyone help ? Thank you in advance.

Hi KimPeck, It sounds odd. Per your description, you just created a sub-folder in the problem mail-enabled public folder without move the items to the subfolder, and then all work well, right? Does the issue occur with outlook 2003 and outlook 2010? It sounds an issue, needed to retrieve more information to analyze the issue, I would suggest that you could open a ticket from MS. Regards! Yes, all I do in create a sub-folder using OWA in each mail enabled folder and the message re-appear in outlook and the blank lines with received = none become full message lines. The problem appears on all outlook versions.

Hi Kim, I would do some tests as below: 1. check the event log, confirm whether there are some information with the issue 2. use isinteg to repair the public folder store, some information for you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182081 3. create a new public folder, move the item to the new folder, delete the old folder 4. create a new public store, and move all the foler to the new public store, some information for you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255077 Regards!
