Exchange 2003 Pickup folder timing
Hi,On our exchange server 2003 we have IMF enabled and it works great! except for one small problem. We have photocopiers that people use to scan things and email the scanned item to themselves. IMF always seems to pick these up as spam. Using IMF Companion i have created a white list for these messages. Now when IMF Companion sees that an email came from someone in the whitelist it moves the item to the pickup folder. The problem is that when this happens there can be a delay from anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes before the item is received in the users mailbox. Does anyone know about how often exchange scans the pickup folder or is there a way to make this any quicker?thanks

I have never seen SMTP take more than a second to grab something out of the pickup folder. I really hate dealing with multiple SMTP virtual servers, but you might try creating a second SMTP virtual server on which you do not have the IMF configured and then point your copiers/scanners to that SMTP VS instead.
