Exchange 2003 Offline Address List Generation Error 8007010b
Hey everybody, I moved our Exchange 2003 information stores and transaction logs to a new disk array on the weekend and so far so good but I am getting an error that i'm sure has something to do with the volume change but I can't be sure, so I thought i'd see what you think. I used to have the Information stores on volume G:\ but now they're on S:\ and I have disconnected the iSCSI volume G:\. The error message i'm getting is saying no space to generate the OAL. Here is the error message from eventvwr on the Exchange 2003 server. http://imagebin.ca/img/lK0yATn.png Now I was wondering if somewhere it's still set to try and write something to G:\ or whatnot. I know the info for the OAL is stored in AD so that can't be it. Please help if you can, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions! :) Let me know if you neeed any more details. Thanks, David J. I think there can be a number of reasons for that error. Can you create a new OAB and test to see if it generates correctly? If so, then set it as the default OAB for your mailbox stores.

Does the suggestion from Andy work? Please run ExBPA against the exchange server When you try to generate an offline Address Book in Exchange Server 2003, you are not successful, and event IDs 9126 and 9328 are loggedJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

Hey guys, I have generated a new OAB using the ESM and set it as the default. I will see if this fixes the problem tomorrow at 5AM when the scheduled update interval is set to run. I'll let you know.

Hey everybody, I created the new one and it's generating the same error message for the new OAB as well. I will run the Exchange BPA. Thanks, David EDIT: I tried to install that hotfix, and it appears like it's already installed as part of Service Pack 2. (Says it requires SP1 running on Exchange to be able to be installed). So that doesn't seem like it will work

What's the result in the BPA? Is there any issue for the OAB update/download on the client? Check if there’s error info in the “Sync Issues” folder of outlook Notes: Click “Folder List” button in the outlook, which locates at the left-below corner of navigate pane by default Please perform a full download for OAB on the client, and check the event 27 on the client machine (Reference) Resources: OABInteg and how to use it to troubleshoot OAB generation issuesJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

As an update to this, I tried to use OABInteg to troubleshoot this problem and it didn't seem to find any errors. My Offline address list generation is still not working correctly. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. David
