Exchange 2003 OWA Problems after moving to a new server
Hy !! I'm new in this great comunity that I respect too much !!I have a problem with Exchange 2003 SP2 in a Windows 2003 ActD.I add a new Exchange 2003 SP2 Server to my farm for replace the old one.All work fine; I migrate the email boxes, the connections through Outlook 2003, the calendar and the address-book. The only thing that isn't working is the OWA access...I copyed the confuguration of IIS from the old server, I installed a SSL cert. also (not the real one but a test one created with SELFssl from the IIS Resources Kit). When I try https://localhost/exchange or https://serverIPaddress/eschange the SSL Warnig appears but when I click to go on IE shows the screen Internet Explorer: impossible to view the page.Where I can search to resolve the issue ?thank's in advice !!!

Hi, As my understand that users cannot access OWA but they can use outlook etc, is that right? In order to narrow down the issue, we need to remove the certificate and then test if OWA can run normally. 1. Run MMC from a command prompt. 2. Click on file on the toolbar and select Add/Remove snap in 3. In the Standalone tab, click on Add-Certificates-Computer account-Local computer 4. Click Finish and Ok. 5. Expand Certificates-Personal-Certificate, Certificates-Trusted Root Certification Authorities-Certificate. 6. There please find the certificate that you have installed and then delete. 7. Please open IIS manager to ensure that you do not use SSL. 8. Please try to use http://servername/exchange or http://ipaddress/exchange to access OWA. If We can access OWA without SSL enabled, then the issue may cause by certificate. Id like to know if you want to install a self-signed certificate. A self-signed certificate cannot be trust from the internet, each client may have to install the certificate on the client machine. You can follow the steps in article below to generate a certificate with your own Certificate Authority and then install it to the exchange virtual directory. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/SSL_Enabling_OWA_2003.html If we cannot access OWA without SSL enabled, then I recommend you to re-create OWA related virtual directory. How to reset the default virtual directories that are required to provide Outlook Web Access, Exchange ActiveSync, and Outlook Mobile Access services in Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883380 Regards, Xiu
