Exchange 2003 Mailboxes to Exchange 2007
I used ExMerge to create .pst files from our SBS 2003. I am now trying to import/restore these .pst files on our new SBS 2008 with Exchange 2007. I have tried to use the Exchange Management Shell program but when attempting to import, I got a message saying cannot import to 64-bit server. Our SBS 2003 was 32-bit and our SBS 2008 is 64-bit. Is there any way to get these .pst mailboxes restored on the SBS 2008/Exchange 2007? Thanks.

Hi, Export/Import to PST Requirements In order to export or import mailboxes to PST files the following requirements must be met: Export/Import to PST must be run from a 32 bit client machine with Exchange Management Tools installed (Version Exchange 2007 SP1 or later). The 32bit requirement comes from a dependency with the Outlook client. Either Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 must be installed on the client machine. The user running the task must be an Exchange Organization Admin or an Exchange Server Admin on the server where the mailbox to export/import lives Reference: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/04/13/437745.aspx Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com

Is it possible to transfer the exchange database with all the mail from the SBS 2003 to the SBS 2008? Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason, If you use cmdlet Import-Mailbox, the mails will be import to mailboxes on the server. So please follow Laeeq's reply to install Management tool and Outlook on a 32bit client computer.
