Exchange 2003 Mail Storage group question
For Exchange 2003 Enterprise SP2 Is the Total maximum number of 4 Storage Groups limitation a per site or per server basis? IF an admin added a 5th group against that limit would it break any of the existing storage groups or would it be the one that 'does not show up"? Thanks

For Exchange 2003 Standard Edition, it's one storage group per server, with a maximum of one private and one public database. For Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition, it's four storage groups per server with a maximum of five private databases per storage group. An admin wouldn't be able to add a fifth storage group to an Enterprise Edition server except through hacking AD, and I doubt that it would work, and I have no idea what that would break.-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.".
