Exchange 2003 Installation on Seconday DC network.
Hi, We have primary DC server remotely in Texas and another seconday DC server at our work place (NY) these are connected through VPN (Both gets replicated). I am trying to install Exchange 2003 in a new server that is in the same network as secondary DC server in NY now when ever I install the ForestPrep or Domain prep or system manager I keep getting cannot connect to the schema master located on "Server Name". (Shows the primary DC server name) and says please check the connectivity or you have sufficient permission to access the Schema master. But I would like to direct my exchange to the secondary DC which is in the same network. How do I go about doing it? Is this possible? Awaiting your response! Thanks!

Hi, If you want to direct the exchange to the secondary DC, we need to transfer the Schema Master from the primary DC to the secondary DC. The detailed information you can refer to the below link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823161 Additionlly, another method can also be used: http://support.microsoft.com//kb/822593 Thanks Allen
