Exchange 2003 IMAP problem with 1 current imap users
Have a exchange 2003 server with 1 users that use IMAP server refuses to accept log onfrom this one user account. Created a test account and the test account works fine. Compared account settings are the same.

You're testing on the same machine? Can you telnet to 143 and see if you can log in with the problem account?

Test account login works.
Problem account fails. error msg: ? NO Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
Note: OWA works with the problem account.
Also performed the same test for POP3 with the same results. Seems like the password is not correct for the problem account. Tried resetting the password but encountered the same results.

Hi Jiati,
Since the account and password are right, do you use User Principal Name (logon) to have a try?

Do you test on another computer (use same account, configure POP3 and IMAP to connect the Exchange Sever)?
If not, please use another computer to have a try.
