Exchange 2003 Email Priorities
Is there a way to configure to prioritize the email sent by the GM/MD/Higher Management. I'm running Exchange 2003 Server. Thanks in advance.

Hello,The message priority can be set by outlook and you can set connector for setting the priority from server side using SMTP connector.Configuring an SMTP Connectorhttp://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Configuring-SMTP-Connector.htmlArun Kumar | MCSE - 2K3 + Messaging | ITIL-F V3

To send the messages by certain priorities is just not the way how exchange mail flow works. If you want to optimize the routing for GM/MD/Higher Management, the method below would be a workaround We may create two connectors, con1 (Address space: *, Cost: 10) and con2 (Address space: *, Cost: 20, set a dedicated Smarthost) On con1, we reject all mails from one group, which has added all users of GM/MD/Higher Management as its members. Based on routing feature of exchange, all messages will use con1 first, when the mails are from restricted group, routing will look for an alternative way to the destination, and then all mails from restricted group will use the smarthost in con2 to deliver the messages Notes: Besides the dedicated smarthost, move mailboxes of GM/MD/Higher Management into one dedicated mail server or mail store will also improve the overall performance for those users Resources: Use Routing Group Connectors to Connect Routing Groups in Exchange Server 2003 How to use SMTP connectors to connect routing groups in Exchange 2003
