Exchange 2003 Delivery Options Problem

Server is SBS 2003 with Office 2007 on Windows 7 client PCs.

Up until recently this worked just fine, but now seems to be broken:

I have set Delivery Options to deliver to an external contact AND the user's mailbox. For 6 years this worked just fine with my Exchange account. Another mailbox was set to deliver messages to an external contact AND the internal Exchange mailbox. However, the message never seems to reach the user's mailbox to be seen and he gets two copies of the forwarded message at his external account. The messages are not in any of his Exchange mailbox folders. Only the Clear Categories rule is enabled in Outlook.

To test, I adjusted my delivery options to go to another external contact. I found while I only get one forwarded message, the message that should be in my Exchange mailbox is automatically moved to the Deleted folder.

What happened?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Charlie,

According to your description, I found different results occured when we changed to another account for testing.

Please check whether the messages in the right folder in OWA.

If in OWA, everything is OK, it seems an issue on the Outlook Client side.

Please run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs, add-ins and firewall.

Please try to re-create new profile to refresh the caches for testing.

If we ONLY enabled the Categories rule cause this, I suggest disabling it for testing.

Feel free to contact me if there is any update.

Thanks
