Exchange 2003 - unable to dismount disk after removing database
I am running Exchange 2003 SP2 and I have recently moved all of the email boxes from my old DB (located on G drive) to a new DB I created due to corruption on the old DB. I also moved the public folder DB to my new volume I. I dismounted the old DB so now both the NewDB and Public folder DB resides on the I drive. I also checked the transaction logs location and it's located on drive H.All of these are iSCSI volumes and I have attempted to take drive G offline since all the databases are now located on drive I. At first it gave me trouble due to drive G being locked. I was able to stop the Information store service and then it allowed me to disconnect drive G. As soon as I did that, users are unable to send attachments, some of their emails are not going thru, etc. I need to get rid of drive G but I can't figure out what still needs to be moved.

You dismounted the old store, and also deleted it from ESM?James Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

Yes, I dismounted and also deleted it from ESM. There must be something else that's holding up that drive G.

You said that the disconnection of driver causes mail flow issue, is there any error info or error event for the problem? Please run ExBPA against the exchange server for health checkJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

The only event id I see is 9175 but I'm seeing that pretty much every day so that doesn't mean much. I ran a Healthcheck with ExBPA and here's what it found: Unknown schema extension versionMaxpage size is set too highUnrecognized Exchange signatureSystempages is set too highHeapdeCommitFreeblock threshold is not setI don't think this has anything to do with my current problem. How do I find out where Exchange is actually installed?
