Exchange 2003 - Mailbox - Sudden dismount
Hi, Currently this problem only happen once. For no reason one of my mailbox store in my First Storage Group just dismounted itself. I remounted it and everything is working fine. I check through the event log but was unable to find anything that causes the dismount. I just want to know what could be the cause and what should I do in future to prevent this from happening Regards, Iruan

You need to provide more info than that. But here are some points to check for. 1. Usually it shows up why the store dismounted, (hopefully not someone dismounted it purposefully ? may be another admin ) 2. Was any backup running? , store gets dismounted if the uncommitted log files go more than 1008. 3. you can increase diagnostic logging. Hi Anil, I have check the event logs, it shows that from 5am the exchange services were sent a stopped signal this is because it is doing the maintenance and at about 530am all the services that were stopped were then started which shows that exchange is up and running and futhermore in the event log there isn't anything indicating it was dismounted. Also if you can provide me a precaution or steps to be taken in future of what to do in order to prevent this from happening is best. Regards, Iruan
