Exchange 2003: script to enable/disable user mailbox
Hello,I need to reject all mail when a person is not in the office. The thing is, it can be done by using "Out of office" function in MS Outlook. But this will download the mail to the outlook client (although I can create a rule to delete mails automatically).I need to found a method so the user can enable/disable his mail account.Any idea?

You can set mailbox size limit to 0 (warning, send & send/receive) or another option is to set message restriction with accept message Only from and add a dummy mailbox so mailbox doesn't accept message from anyone else, in this way you canreject messages when user is out of office. Thanks!! Great answer!!One more thing...I'm able to change these settings from: Active Directory >> MyDomain >> Users >> USER_NAME >> [tab] Exchange General >> Delivery Restrictions >> Accept Messages. The thing is that I need to create a very simple .exe with a button to enable/disable the mailbox for that user (this button has to check/uncheck the options you said me).I'm using Visual Studio 2005, looking at:http://en.csharp-online.net/User_Management_with_Active_Directoryhttp://www.satansbarber.co.uk/computing/adcsharp.htm#ex1I can query and set active directory user properties, but I don't know how to access exchange settings from the user.Any idea?

Sorry, I am not aware about Exchange 2003 programming with Visual Studio, even I have doubt that any programmers check post here and give reply in General Discussion session. Its better to post your query in Development Forum instead. http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=838&SiteID=17
