Exchange 2000 and POP3/SMTP
Hello and good day to you. I have an Exchange 2000 server that has worked well for some years now. All users connect to the server via Outlook (not outlook express) and their connections are standart Exchange Server selections (in the wizard). I have aMinolta Copier that has a Scan to Email feature. It will only send via smpt. The settings are very limited on the unit. Thus far when it sends a scan to email I receive no error, but no message as well. Ihave as well tested the scan to email on this unit by setting it up to connect to an internet mail serverand messagesgo out fine. To further test my problems, I set upOutlook on amachine to connect to POP3 and SMTP. I can receive email fine, but I cannot send.Outlook thinks it has sent the message, but nothing ever goes anywhere. The message will flash momentarily to the Outbox and then within a split second it will be gone. This is nowhere long enoughfor the message to be transmitted to the server. Any ideas? Thanks.... Michael

Hi, Look for restrictions configured on the SMTP virtual server. By default all should be able to connect to this and send mails to local users. You could also try to enable SMTP logging and see what happens Leif
