Exchange 2000 - Move Public Folders to new Storage Group
Hello, we had a database corruption on our exchange 2000 Server. We were able to move the mailboxes to a newl created storage group / mailbox database. Now we also want to move the public folders (only a few) to the newly created storage group. I read that this is not possible. Can someone confirm that? If it is possible how can we achieve that?

You will have to either restore from backup overwriting the existing store, or bring up a new server and create a new pf store and move the folder replicas to it. Yet another alternative is a recovery forest in the lab, restore there and copy the folders to a pst.

The article you posted refers to creating new public folder trees in 2000/2003 that are not accessible by mapi clients.

Yes. You cannot move the Public Folders directly. I think you can build a new server and export the Public Folder to PST file. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327304 Thanks.
