Exchange 2000 - Exchange 2007
I want to deploy an exchange 2007 server , is it possible to migrate Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007 or do I have to go to 2003 first. Also what are the major differences between the 2 apart from the 64bit OS.

BruceP,It certainly is possible to go from 2000 to 2007 (I am in the process of doing so right now!). Actually it is quite smooth (so far!), a lot of things are done for you during the Exchange 2007 installation, though I have had to figure out a few things I wouldn't have expected to have to do.I am installing on entirely new hardware, coming from Exchange 2000 in a VMWare Virtual Server. Microsoft does NOT support Exchange 2007 in production on any virtual platform yet (including their own even though there is a VHD version of the 2007 trial). The Microsoft Exchange website has a link to the differences between 2003 and 2007.Have a good one!smooter
