Exchange / Outlook 2007 - Share calendars cross domain
Hi, We have two forests linked with an external two way trust, each with their own individual Exchange 2007 /Outlook 2007 environments. We have mail flow between the two forests and this works fine. However, we now have a requirement for a user in Domain X to manage the calendar of a user in Domain Y. I have read various TechNet articles that say this is now possible in Exchange 2007, however when it comes to implementation I can not find anything apart from the viewing of Free / Busy time of users in another domain (using the availability service of Exchange 2007). Indeed we haveF/B time cross domainimplemented, but this is slightly different to editing a calendar cross domain. We already have the GAL's synchronized using Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 Feature Pack 1. Does anyone know how to do this? If so how and using what components? Thanks!

You can give a user in domain x permission on the mailbox in domain y. This should set the permission correct. next step is to make user in domain x access the mailbox in domain y. Outlook can only open mailboxes in the same exchange organization, so you can create multiple MAPI profiles and switch between them or you can use OWA and login to the calendar mailbox.
