I have tried both GUI and CLI (setup /m:Install /r:MT) setup from the 32bit Beta2 source, to install the Management Tools on a WinXP SP2 with all pre-reqs installed. Both methods report:"To install Exchange Server 2007, you must first install Windows Server 2003 SP1 or a later version of Windows Server.Any ideas?ThanksFrom Release Notes: Note: You can install the Exchange Management Tools (which include the Exchange Management Console, the Exchange Management Shell, and the Exchange Help file) on a computer with a 32-bit processor running MicrosoftWindowsServer2003 or WindowsXP.

Last I heard, there were currently issues (meaning it doesn't work!)with installing the Management tools on XP that are specific to Beta2. Those issues should be worked out prior to RTM.

Ben is correct. As answered by a Microsoft employee on the Exchange Ninjas Wiki: Q: How I do I manage exchange 2007 from an Windows XP SP2 workstation A: You install the Exchange 2007 Management Tools from the DVD/installation share. In Beta 2, only Windows 2003 is supported, XP support is to be announced. source: http://www.exchangeninjas.com/askaquestion
