Exchange/Outlook limitations
Currently we are using pop mail with Outlook 2003 clients. We have about 100 users and planing to move to Exchange for the calendaring and other groupware features. But we have users (mainly executive staff) with lots of issues with pst size limits, contact size limit, and calendar size limits problems all the time. Our vendor is saying moving to Exchange will solve those problems, but I say the problems are client side and Exchange isn't going to remedy client side issues. We have to get users to archive mail, but how do we deal with executive staff with huge contact list and trying to keep three or more years of calendar info. I don't want them to believe a vendor say Exchange is a magic wand that fixes everything. Exchange will bring great new features, but client issues will still need to be addressed. Am I right thinking this way or is the vendor??? Thanks for any advise.

Good point...I would look into the .pst file size limits and more info on the cleint side...the vendor might be inferring that using exchange keeps all of the data on exhange and thus not pst files on the client....the cleints sync with it and the defaul file is .ost
