Exch 2007 (SBS 2008) - EMail address policy not applying correctly to existing users
Hi there, I've got a problem with the Exchange email address policies. I have a policy that filters by CustomAttribute1, and applies a number of different email addresses (all using the same domain). When I created the policy I used for example %g1%s@domain.co.uk, %g%s@domain.co.uk etc - which do apply correctly. At the same time, I added %g@domain.co.uk for firstname@domain.co.uk All secondary addresses are working apart from %g@domain.co.uk It does however work when I create a new user (with the custom attribute filled in). I've deleted the policy and recreated, reapplied it etc The 1st name is populated in the users account as %g%s@domain.co.uk works. Any ideas would be appreciated!

So, you have created an EAP with three e-mail addresses Primary address: %g%s@domain.co.uk Secondary address: %g1%s@domain.co.uk (It shall be %1g%s@domain.co.uk), %g@domain.co.uk How did you create the policy, via EMS? Did you perform the update in order apply the change? What’s showed in the “E-Mail Addresses” tab currently? Hello,I doubt here is the policy order issue.... and if you mentioned all these 3 addresses in the same policy then there shouldn't be any issue... Please follow the James solution and update accordingly.Arun Kumar | MCSE - 2K3 + Messaging | ITIL-F V3

Hi Guys, No unfortunately not. Luckily (I guess), the customer wanted to rebuild their whole domain - so we did, and I created the EAP before any users. I haven't had this problem with any other customers using the same platform, so it seems isolated/unique. Thanks for your input
