Exch2k7 spk3 - SMTP Logs - size of messages (w3c format???)
Hi, today we have Exch2k3 and we import the SMTP log files (located at 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\SMTPSVC1') to a SQL database to create some reports regarding amount of bytes, how many connections from the Ip 200.xxx.xxx.xxx (one of our custumer). After read some Exch2k7 docs/articles I found that the information regarding size is not available. It´s true? Is there a way to enable w3c format/check that? Exchange 2k3 - LOG fields ( W3C Extended Log File Format) ############################################## date time c-ip cs-username s-sitename s-computername s-ip s-port cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query sc-status sc-win32-status sc-bytes cs-bytes time-taken cs-version cs-host cs(User-Agent) cs(Cookie) cs(Referer) Exchange 2k7 - LOG fields ################### date-time,connector-id,session-id,sequence-number,local-endpoint,remote-endpoint,event,data,context Advanced Exchange 2007 Transport Logs Troubleshooting using Log Parser - Part 1 http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/11/12/3404342.aspx How to Configure Protocol Logging http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124531(EXCHG.80,printer).aspx Managing Protocol Logging http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997624(EXCHG.80,printer).aspxtks, Renato P

Hi Renato P, Sure, the totalbytes would show the message size when it is delivered. Regards! Gavin
