Exch2K3 installation in a new domain existing forest situation
Need help. Here's the situation:
1) Have Office A running AD as domain "company.com". There are two DCs and 1 Exchange installation. This Exchange server received mail for "company.com." All MX points to that server.
2) They're opening Office B in a physically different location. Have created this AD as a new tree in an existing forest. AD is setup as "location.company.local." This location has two DCs. There are trusts in place between both 'company.com' and 'location.company.local."
WIth respect to installing Exchange, what is the best method to do the installation so that mail coming in to 'company.com' routes to 'location.company.local.' I realize I need to perform the installation as the enterprise admin. Will I need to run FORESTPREP again? What setup method do I use?

Hi,
If the new domain is a child domain in the existingforest all youneed to run is exchange "setup /domainprep".
After that you install the exchange server, create a recipient update service pointing to the new domain and create a recipient policy that creates the desired e-mail addresses for the users.
When you then add a MX record pointing to the existing server mailflow should work.
