Exch2007 - Missing manage options from EMC
I've been trying to find an answer to this but there has to be a point when i give up and ask. If i log in as a Domain Admin account and open EMC, if i right-click a mailbox, i get the options: - Manage Send As Permission - Manage Full Access Permission I've put a techy in the Exchange Recipient Administrator group but he dosent get the above options in EMC. I've put him in Exchange Organization Administrator group and again the above manage options don't appear. Am i missing something; is there a ps command i need to run to enable the above options? This has probably been asked and resolve many atime but i've read the technet guides and "i cant see the house because of all the bricks in the way" :) Any help much appreciated.

After you made him a member of the group, has he logged out and then logged in again? >Am i missing something; is there a ps command i need to run to enable the above options? No, what you did should be sufficient. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi JWFG, I recommend you try again using Power Shell: Add-ADPermission "Mailbox" -User "Domain\User" -Extendedrights "Send As" Add-MailboxPermission "Mailbox" -User "Trusted User" -AccessRights FullAccess Here are some documents for you. How to Grant the Send As Permission for a Mailbox: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998291(EXCHG.80).aspx How to Allow the Mailbox Access: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996343(EXCHG.80).aspx Best regards, Yang

Thanks for the above suggestions. Strange because i did actually reply a day after Rich suggested solution but for some reason it hasnt posted or has been removed :\ I found the solution. Everything permission wise was setup right however it was a simple case of version mismatch. The server versions are running the latest version of Exchange whilst the client versions were installed with the original exchange cd. Simply applying the SP fixed the issue. Don't know why i didnt check that first :)
