Exch2007: Primary DNS failed to respond to a TCP connection
While trying to track a messages rejection, the subject of another question being dealt with, I used the Troubleshooting assistant and when it checked for DNS Availability it responded with: Primary DNS failed to respond to a TCP connection Cannot contact the primary DNS server (127.0.0.0) for Exchange server MyServer using TCP. The DNS server (127.0.0.0) may be down or configured to accept only UDP queries. If the primary DNS server is unavailable, mail routing delays and performance problems may occur. I don't know how to tell whether the DNS Server is configured to accept on UDP queries. The system seems to be functioning correctly and mail is being delivered, so what can this mean?

Is the Exchange server also a dns server? if so, the installation likely changed the dns settings to use itself for dns. Mike Crowley Check out My Blog!
