This is the link to the answer to your problem: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996485(EXCHG.80).aspx Pay special attention to the links at the bottom on resetting the system folders. If you don't have a public folder database, you'll need to create one first. You can do that in Exchange System Manager. If this doesn't address your problem, please provide more detail.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi What changes happened at the server side? If that public folder database file available at the same location. Appears like some admin did some changes.. find it.. Check the event viewer and inform whether any event generated related to public folder missing.. Thank you..

Well, that may not be your problem, then. Hello Simon, If i create new PF store, what about OAB and Free busy information, will it overwrite old OAB and Freebusy and its create any new problems for users unable to access OAB? Already we have pub.EDB and Pub.stm files Please Advice!
October 12th, 2011 10:55pm

Run the eseutil /mh and make sure the old pub.edb and stm are clean shutdown. Create a new PF store and dismount it immidiately. MOve the EDB and stm files along with olg files to other directory. Copy the Pub.edb and Pub.stm from the old store and mount the store. This applies if there is only single store in the storage group otherwise there is more dependecy. It will have all your old data.Jasjit Singh Dhindsa | ITIL v3 | IASA Foundation Certified | MCITP:Exchange 2010 | Exchange 2007 | MCTS:OCS 2007 | Exchange 2010 | Exchange 2007 | MCSA:Messaging | Security | MCSE:Messaging | Security | MCP

Hello, I have checked pub.edb and stm are clean shutdown, we have exch2003-standard-sp2 and one storage group and one pulic folder store and one mailbox store, as you recommned move logs to diffrent directroy, but log's are combination of mailbox store + public store please advice
October 13th, 2011 1:10am

Just move the pub.edb and pub.stm from the default public folder store location. Create the new public folder store in GUI by using the same files names. Make sure not to mount the store after this process. Copy back the old edb and stm files you copied to other location. Go ahead and mount the Public Folder Store. NOTE: Make sure not to mount the store after its creation then we dont have to take care of the log files movement. Hi Jasjit is correct, Since the database is in clean shutdown state, there is no need to move the old log file before mounting the database. Move only the edb and stm file and create the database with the name as previous. Thank you

Hello, Since the database does not exist in AD, do you have backup for the old public folder store. If so, I think you need to restore it from the backup. Thanks, Simon

1. Dismount the currently mounted new databse. 2. Check the database path of the Public FOlder satabse in ESM under the PF Store properties. 3. Rename both the edb and stm file with the .old file extn. 4. Copy the old Public Folder STM and EDB file into these directory. 5. Rename the old public folder store edb and stm file to the name whihc was of the newly created Public folder database edb and stm file. Both the option will work fine. 1. If you connect the old database. You will have all the data which was there on the old server. And if you added anything during the time this PF Store was down this server will get the replication from other server and will be in sync. 2. If you choose to mount the new PF store with new EDB and STM file it will have no data. But if there were any folder who has replicas only on this server you will not see that data on any other place. But if there are any folder who has this server added as replicas this server will get the data from the other server in the organization. But it should not cause any issue to other server but might ask for the data from otehr server which might create a network traffic based on how big the database is and how much data we need to replicate.Jasjit Singh Dhindsa | ITIL v3 | IASA Foundation Certified | MCITP:Exchange 2010 | Exchange 2007 | MCTS:OCS 2007 | Exchange 2010 | Exchange 2007 | MCSA:Messaging | Security | MCSE:Messaging | Security
