Excessive log growth on a database
I have a database who's transaction logs are growing at a rate 10+ times the rate of any other database of equal size and number of users. The actual database size does not seem to be increasing any more then normal. How do I determine the process or user generating all these logs?Tim

Used ExMon to find the offending user. Turned out to be an iPhone 4 users. Disabled ActiveSync and the problem went away.Tim

A droid user (model:Fascinate, Android OS:Froyo) had a content sync issue that generated 60K+ transaction logs in a day. By using logparser, we created a task to parse the IIS Activesync logs and launch a powershell disable against the user if device pings> 5K in 4 hrs. This activesync reporting article was instrumental in finding a solution until there's a hotfix released for this content sync loop. http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2006/02/14/419562.aspx
