Hi,

I have this weird issue in Excel 2010 and internet explorer. I  download this spreadsheet in internet explorer, it gives me the option to Open,save or cancel. I click open and its fires up in excel and its blank... However if I click save as and save to my my desktop and click on it, it opens just fine. 

Is there a setting I can check for my data to show instead of saving it to my desktop and opening it that way?

Based on your description, I suppose your issue might be caused by Excel doesn't share DDE information with other applications.

For solving this issue, please open a blank Workbook- go to File- Options- Advanced- clear the "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)" option.
