Excel file is opening Blank at double click after uninstalling previous MSoffice version

hi Guys,

I uninstalled all previous versions of Office. I installed Office 2013 pro plus and activated. When I double-click on the Excel file which has some data before  it opens blank then after i need to go to the file - open and then i able to open the file after saving it. it is really annoying i did check everything. Please Revert ASAP.

your help will appreciated.

Hi,

According to your description, it seems that it related to the DDE option which you have already checked. Please turn off the "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) setting.

Steps:

  • On the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Clear the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) check box, and then click OK.
